Matthew writes literary urban fantasy, and is currently working on a series called The Interval.

He holds a master’s degree in creative writing, a master’s degree in educational psychology, and he is an english literature PhD dropout. He has sustained engagements with animal studies, biopolitics, and ecocriticism. Recently, he has taken interest in thought concerning liminality and aporia.

Matthew taught writing at universities for five years, and worked in higher education administration for an additional five.

He enjoys scotch that tastes like moss, gin that tastes like christmas trees, good wool, and german shepherd dogs.
